Camaguey Day 6-7

These are just some of the sites we will see and do in Camaguey.

Camaguey-Cuba-25Camaguey is a labyrinth where a poor map reader can easily get lost. The narrow streets seem identical and they look like endless mazes that seem to bring you back to where you’ve started. Getting lost in this old colonial city, however, offers a curious visitor some old gems that are new to their senses. If you take time to pause in front of an open door or window, you’ll be greeted by an old man/woman rocking on his/her chair. They’ll be delighted if you respond with a smile, a nod or a simple “Hola!”

One-story houses are connected to each other and they’re as colorful as the ones in Havana, Trinidad and Cienfuegos.

Museo-San-Juan-de-Dios-1The center of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage and it’s nothing short of ancientness and history.

Bike RaceLet’s go for a race and not do the pedaling!!! And so we will. Bicycle racing is great fun in Camaguey.

These ladies just could not move, you will see plenty of these statues.
